Serving up creative seafood dishes, steamers, wood-fired pizza, and juicy steaks, Black Pelican is a family-friendly restaurant that is the former home to a historic Kitty Hawk lifesaving station that was built in 1874. They are open for lunch and dinner year round and are located right on the Beach Road, across the street from the ocean. For a more casual dining experience, check out their shaded oceanfront deck which offers elevate views; it’s a great place to grab an afternoon drink and an app. Inside, there are two levels of dining seating and a wrap-around bar. Without reservations, there is often a wait, so it’s best to plan ahead.
