Vacation Rentals Corolla, Outer Banks, NC | Carolina Designs

Vacation Rentals in Corolla, NC

All houses are rented by the week.

Find out why our Corolla, NC rentals are some of the most popular Outer Banks vacation homes on the beach. The main attraction in Corolla still remains the expansive, wide beaches of finely textured sand and clean rolling surf. From oceanfront to the sound, large and medium-size homes, we hope you enjoy the variety of Corolla vacation rentals that are managed by Carolina Designs Realty. With its quiet neighborhoods, shopping and historic sites Corolla, NC has become the perfect family vacation rental spot on the beach.

Corolla, also known as the “gold coast” of Currituck County, is situated on an expanse of Atlantic Ocean at the Northern end of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In the early 1900s, this area became a favorite of a handful of wealthy businessmen who built exclusive, private hunt clubs on large acres of Corolla beach and land. One of them, the Whalehead Club, located at Currituck Heritage Park, began as a private hunt club/mansion on the sound; restored in 1993, it is now a popular historical vacation attraction.
Another favorite with visitors is the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Built in 1875, it is the only natural red brick lighthouse on the East Coast and was constructed to provide a safe pathway for and warning of shallow waters to sailors entering what has long been known as “the Graveyard of the Atlantic.” Building on a history shaped by this unique landscape, today Corolla is widely known for its large, upscale vacation homes. Consider a stay in one of our Corolla, NC rentals—the estates come complete with private pools, hot tubs and luxurious amenities overlooking vast stretches of beach. Corolla has easy access to golf and tennis. Catch the latest release at the local movie theater, take surfing lessons, go on a kayak tour, rent jet skis, or take a guided beach tour in search of the wild horses of Corolla—herds of mustangs that roam freely in isolated areas and are descendants of wild Spanish mustangs brought to the area hundreds of years ago. For your shopping convenience, grocery stores, gift shops, surf shops, coffee shops, ice cream parlors and souvenir shops are found in several local shopping centers, including Monteray Plaza, Tim Buck II and Corolla Light Town Center—a quaint historic district near the lighthouse has been restored and provides a lovely location for a walking tour. Bring your family to the Outer Banks to enjoy everything that Corolla vacation rentals have to offer; your dream vacation may be just around the corner in one of Carolina Designs Realty’s beach rentals!
